Thank you to all who attended the AGM on 17th September in the clubhouse. It gave us an opportunity to reflect on what was a very successful year at Raheny United.
Highlights included:
Renovations 🛠️
Clubhouse extension is now complete. The new meeting room and refurbished dressing rooms are fully operational with the club gym set to open in November 2025.
Winter Training ❄️
We partnered with DCU in 2024 for extra training pitches and in 2025, we’ll add Kilbarrack and Parnells. Investment is required in St Anne’s pitches 4,15,16,27,28 & 29
FAI ClubMark Accreditation ✅
The club has submitted its FAI ClubMark application, demonstrating our commitment to high standards and youth development.
Football ⚽️
The club continues to thrive with 6 senior teams, 49 junior teams, and 150 academy children. One senior team achieved promotion to Intermediate LSL, and several teams celebrated league and cup successes!
Our Disney Playmakers programme continues to engage young girls in football and our Academy strategy is filtering through to Underage.
The club fully supports the DDSL/Q102 ‘It’s My Game’ campaign, promoting respect and positive behaviour among parents and coaches.
Child Welfare 👦👧
All coaches are Garda vetted and trained in safeguarding. Our child centered approach led by Child Welfare Officer, Anne Cheevers, ensures every young player has a safe, fun and positive experience.
Management Committee 🤝
The club has been building out its Management Committee. A robust committee is key to ensuring the club runs smoothly.
Member Engagement 👥
To encourage clubhouse engagement, every child registration now includes free social membership for parents/guardians. We hope to see you at the clubhouse soon!
Fundraising & Sponsorship ⛳️
We ran very successful fundraising events such as the Golf Classic and Christmas Draw. As ever, a huge thank you to our sponsors who are the backbone of the club.
Finances 💶
We are in a strong financial position post recent renovations. The focus for the coming year is to build a reserve for the next big project.
